Green for Fall

This is my first fall outfit of the year! The weather has been pretty warm, so I tried to delay wearing boots and sweaters. As much as I wanted to wear them, I kept telling myself to save them for the colder days. There will definitely be plenty of those in NYC!

I got this green top from a recent trip to Anthropologie, but then I wasn't sure if it was worth keeping. So I went into my closet and tried different pairings, and surprisingly this shirt pretty much goes with everything. For $14, I decided to keep it. My first outfit with this top includes this green skirt I bought at the DVF sample sale and brownish red boots-- which is the perfect fall color combination! Unlike the last post, this outfit is something I would normally wear.

- Top: Anthropologie $14
- Skirt: DVF $50 @ sample sale
- Bag: Martine Sitbon
- Bracelets: vintage and Banana Republic ($49, used old store credit)
- Earrings: $8 at Sun Wind
- Boots: Vero Cuoio $229 at Century 21 (love the color and comfort of these boots)

Escorted Night Out!!

Few of my mom-circle friends have been talking about getting together and going out to a lounge in NY and pretending for a night, to be single with no kids.  Of course I was totally in!  I also convinced my coworker Todd to come out with us (the rule being that with my friends, he be charming smooth talker and enteretain the ladies!)  His initial reaction was "What am I?  An escort??" ... and my answer being "Oh yes, that's exactly what you are!!" - he thankfully still agreed, and I must say he did pretty well!

As per usual with this group, we had to find a deal for our event!  We ending up finding a great deal on Gilt City for drinks and apps at the Toro Lounge which is located downstairs from the Plein Sud restaurant at the Smyth Tribeca Hotel.  Unfortunately, when we got there, we were told that there was a private event in the Toro Lounge.  They offered to honor the certificate at the Plein Sud restaurant, which turned our intended lounge experience to a nice dinner.  (That just means we'll have to go out again - Yay!)

The Food @ Plein Sud

The food was delicious my first time at Plein Sud for lunch when it first opened.  However, this time, the food was just not as good as I remembered it to be, it was a slight disappointment, but the company made up for the slight disappointmet.  3 1/2 stars from me.

This rice ball dish was our favorite of the night!
