{ Peacock } & Bell Bottoms

I never thought I could pull off wearing bell bottoms, but my sister in law suggested that I wear bell bottoms with my zigzag shirt featured here.  So, when I saw this pair on sale at shopbop, I bought them.  I was very unsure about this pair, until I tried them on, and they were extremely stretchy and comfortable.  The only thing is, they are super long on me, but I guess that's what high heels are for.

I decided to first pair it with this funky peacock shirt I found from F21, which I actually love so much as it goes with everything!  It's great for layering, wear as a nice summer top with whites, tucked into a pencil skirt as a blouse; it's a shirt that just works!

{ Happy Lunar New Year } with Red Skirt

I remember growing up, Lunar New Year's day is my happiest day of the year!  We would eat a big feast on New Year's eve with lots of chinese desserts only for new years.  Then we would light up fire crackers and fire works at mid night, which means I get to stay up later and play with fireworks.  On New Year's day, I get to wear brand new cloth, most importantly lots of red envelops from the family.  Of course it was my happiest day!!

This year is year of dragon, wearing red today would mean so much prosperity and fortune.  Many friends are also "working hard" to conceive a dragon baby for good fortune. 

Happy New Year everyone!!  For this special day, I paired this vintage Missoni vest (I got a "what are you wearing look" from the hubby) with this bright red skirt!!

Basics with Leopard

Today's outfit is very simple, pretty much a basic sweater and faux letter skirt as an usual outfit most would wear to the office.  I added some Leopard prints to touch up the look.  I love Leopard prints, but there is a fine line when it's too much or not enough pop.  I thought this is good amount, just so the outfit is not as boring.  To my surprise, many people complimented on my outfit, except one friend who patted my stomach signaling it's too big..lol..

{ Wine Color Jeans }

I think when you put on an outfit, before you even look in the mirror, and you already feel good in it, you are 80% on the way to a great look.  This was how I felt about this outfit:  it's so comfortable and warm.  I just felt right in it, and wearing it makes me happy! 

There wine colored jeans were the same order as the mustard color jeans featured here from Loehmann's, together with an apricot color pair, which I will post soon.

Leopard & Orange

I never knew I would love wearing color so much!!!  I think I've been inspired in so many ways after I started the blog, bold colors stands out and look so good in pictures!  I have been obsessed with orange/coral colors for a while now, and when I saw this orange DVF skirt in my closet, I thought I had to do something with it.  I haven't worn this skirt for at least over 1 year, that's sad for this pretty skirt! 

Leopard was in for fall/winter 2011, so I had acquired few pieces, but haven't really wore them either.  So, I gave the pieces I haven't wore a chance this time!

In Love with Aviator

A friend of mine found this Aviator jacket on Ebay similar to one (if not exact the same) featured at Wendy's Lookbook!!!  She was too good and got one in my size for me!!  I love this faux fur aviator jacket, it was actually unbelievably affordable, I thought it would be very expensive when I first saw it on Wendy's youtube video.  It is very comfortable, well fitting and warm!!!!  (I only wish I was skinnier so I can pull it off like Wendy, oh well! )

{ Belated } New Year Resolution

It felt so good to be off during the new years and just do nothing for once!!  I think that's kicking the new year with a great start!!! 

2011 ended with lots of shopping, food, good times with friends, and to my surprised, I actually learned how to ski!!!  I am not a sporty person, dealing with cold weather sports is the worst thing for me, every encounter I had with skiing and snowboarding were horrible.  This time, with Bob from Jay Peak, I finally learned to ski without falling!!!  Thank you Bob!!

With that, I want to start 2012 with resolutions, it is a little late, but better late than never.

• Invest in something or at least start a pathway to future business adventure

{ Mustard Colored Jeans }

I recently acquired a few pair of colored jeans at Loehmann's when they had a 35% off sale.  These Black Orchid jeans are high waisted, which makes them super comfortable and perfect for my big tummy! 

I will try pairings with these jeans in a few future posts, but this is my first attempt for the mustard colored jeans.
